ABOUT ABOUT

Join teens from throughout CA for a fun and inspiring 3-day weekend.*

*One day ticket option available

The past two and a half years have been extremely challenging for everyone, especially our youth.

In this 3-day teen event, we will come together and celebrate life, friendship and creativity.

Friday, August 26th

We will kick off the event at the Santa Monica beach between Bicknell and Bay Streets (parking lot is at the end of Hollister), for icebreakers, a potluck picnic (that you can either bring with you or purchase nearby), and activities until sunset.

Saturday, August 27th

Morning Session: We will meet at 9:30AM for a welcome/overview and 10:00AM program kick-off at the Pico Youth Center for a fun-filled day of immersive, youth-centric activities. Have you ever wanted to host your own podcast, create a short film or music-video? Or perhaps you are more drawn to art, nature, healing technologies or yoga. Or maybe you've wanted to learn more about the empowering effects of mindfulness and critical thinking or our United States Constitution and how it protects our liberties. The day will include a variety of hands-on workshops based on the interests of the participants.

Dance Party! We will break for dinner around 4 or 5PM and then reconvene for a DJ dance party Saturday evening, from 6-9PM.

Sunday, August 28th:

We will meet at 10AM at the Pico Youth Center for presentations and a sharing/gratitude circle on site or at the beach (TBD); followed by a picnic brunch at the beach, before we say our good-byes and co-create creative ways to stay connected.

This is a WOWLearningLab.com Event

Sponsors: Children's Health Defense - CA Chapter and Holistic Strategies

WHAT TO BRING:

For Friday: A potluck item to share, beachwear, blanket, water bottle, journal and pen.

For Saturday: Water bottle, journal and pen. (Lunch will be provided by WOW.)

For Sunday: A potluck item for beach brunch (that you can either bring with you or purchase nearby) after the presentations and sharing circle. Journal and pen.

This is a mask-free event. You may wear one if you feel more comfortable. Over the last two and a half years our world has become more divided. This event is intended to encourage coming together and respectfully sharing our various perspectives, learning from one another, laughing, connecting and creating the world that we want to live in.

For out-of-town guests who need accommodations, and are interested in staying with a host family or in-area hotels, please email [email protected].

Cost:

The cost for the weekend is $75.00 (limited spaces available). There is an early bird discount if payment in full is received by Friday, August 19th. The early bird amount is $55.00. There are a few scholarships available for those who truly need this option. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
